No. 15/18 Wartburg Travels to Face No. 3/3 UW-Oshkosh in Elite Eight

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 15/18 Wartburg football team (12-0 overall) will travel to face No. 3/3 UW-Oshkosh (12-0) Saturday at noon in the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Playoff.

The Titans won the WIAC title to punch their ticket to the NCAA Playoffs.

The Series
Wartburg owns the all-time series lead at 2-0, but the programs have not met since 2002.

Wartburg
Sophomore Dylan Binion (Albany, Ill.) leads the team on the ground with 1,243 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is the 17th player in program history to achieve the 1,000 season rushing mark and first since Brandon Domeyer in 2014.

Junior quarterback Matt Sacia (Eldridge) has thrown for 2,958 yards and 33 touchdowns on the season. He has broken the single-season record of 30 TD passes that was set in 2014 by Logan Schrader. Sacia has finished with triple-digit passing yards in 18-straight games and in 20 of his last 21, which dates back to last season.

Sacia's top target has been senior Riley Brockway (Postville), who has 1,315 yards on 83 catches with 14 TDs. Brockway has now set the single season school record in catches and receiving yards, both which were previously set by Justin Vetter in 2008.
 
Senior Rob Rottler (Greene) leads the defense with 116 total tackles.

Freshman JoJo McNair (Joliet, Ill.) has a team-best six interceptions and senior Dillon Radamaker (Greene) has a team-best 10.5 TFL.

Career Leader List Watch
Sacia ranks fifth on the program's career leader list in passing yards (5,735). His 57 passing TDs are fourth-best, and his 428 completions are fifth-best.

Brockway is now the all-time leader in pass receptions (181) and his 2,551 receiving yards rank third. He is also third in kick return yards (1,204) and kick returns (56).

Senior Brayton Brandt (Center Point) has made 69 PATs, which is eighth-best.

Single Season Record Watch
Brockway now holds the records in pass receptions (83) and receiving yards (1,315).

Sacia now holds the record with 33 TD passes.

Binion's 1,243 rushing yards stands eighth-best on the single season leader list.

Rottler's total tackles are seventh-best and McNair's six INTs are ninth-best.

UW-Oshkosh
The Titans were the National Runner-Up last year.

Quarterback Brett Kasper has thrown for 2,477 yards for 30 TDs. Sam Mentowski leads the receivers with 1,167 yards on 52 catches for 11 TDs. Dylan Hecker leads the team on the ground with 825 rushing yards and 11 TDs.

Jon Kallas leads the defense with 73.0 tackles.

Senior Connor Schrader (Lake Zurich, Ill.) ranks 72nd in rush yards per carry (5.57) and 99th in rushing touchdowns (8), senior Chris McNutt (Solon) ranks 6th in punt return touchdowns (1), senior Hunter Baldus (Cedar Rapids) ranks 52nd in fumbles recovered (2).

Rottler ranks 58th in total tackles (9.7), senior Griffin Brennecke (Marion) ranks 75th in yards per reception (18.21), senior Jake Pisarik (Mount Vernon) ranks 86th in punting (37.2).

Sacia ranks 5th in passing efficiency (175.7), 6th in passing touchdowns (33), 8th in points responsible for (222), 12th in completion percentage (.673), 14th in yards per pass attempt (9.13), 18th in passing yards (2,958), 26th in points responsible for per game (18.5), 46th in passing yards per game (246.5), 56th in total offense (258.1), 58th in passing yards per completion (13.57), and 59th in completions per game (18.17).

Jjunior Peyton Imhof (Dubuque) ranks 7th in passes defended (2), 52nd in fumbles recovered (2), and 75th in interceptions per game (.4).

Binion ranks 26th in rushing yards (1,243), 40th in rush yards per carry (6.18), 45th in rushing touchdowns (12), 52nd in rushing yards per game (103.6), 52nd in total touchdowns (14), and 63rd in total points scored (84).

Sophomore Jake Kloft (Maquoketa) ranks 7th in kickoff return touchdowns (1); and McNair ranks 12th in passes defended (1.8), 38th in interceptions per game (.5), and 67th in combined kick returns (543).
