LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Wartburg women's cross country team closed out its 2019 season with a 6th place finish of 32 teams at the NCAA Championship race on the campus of Spalding University. Junior
Carina Collet of Verona, Wis., received All-American status with an 11th place finish.
The No. 8-ranked Knights totaled 219 points with an average 6k time of 22:26.5.
Collet is now a two-time All-American, along with her second-straight American Rivers Conference MVP and All-Region awards earlier this year. She finished in 11th place of nearly 300 athletes with a time of 21:36.5, four seconds shy of her career-best.
Aubrie Fisher,
Cassidy Christopher, and
Trinity Borland each finished among the top-75. Fisher was close to the top-35, finishing 42nd 22:15.6 - a season and career best time.
