No. 2-ranked Wartburg College hosts Central College of Pella Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. in Levick Arena of the Wartburg-Waverly Sports and Wellness Center. Coach Jim Miller’s program sports a 4-0 overall record and has a string of 142 consecutive dual wins against IIAC competition in tow. Seven of the squad’s 10 weights have an individual ranked in the top 10 as of the November 18 National Wrestling Coaches Association’s Division III poll. The individual honors are highlighted by junior defending national champion Byron Tate of Clinton and senior two-time All-American John Helgerson of West Union being listed number one at 197 and heavyweight, respectively. The remainder of the ranked Knights includes senior 125-pounder Mark Kist of Eagle Grove (No. 5), junior 133-pounder Mike Kremer of Independence (No. 10), senior 149-pounder Jacob Groth of Marshalltown (No. 8), senior 157-pounder Carrington Banks of Stockbridge, Ga., (No. 3) and junior 174-pounder Dylan Azinger of DeWitt (No. 3).

The dual with the Dutch begins a three-event week for the Orange and Black. Miller’s team goes to Loras for a conference dual Thursday, Dec. 2, and to the Simpson Storm Invitational Saturday, Dec. 4. Wartburg returns home for the annual Dick Walker Invitational Saturday, Dec. 11.
