WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's basketball team opens its season Friday at Lakeland College's tournament this weekend. The Knights will first play UW-Stout at 8 p.m. with the consolation/championship game Saturday at 2/4 p.m.

A Look at the Tournament Field:
Wartburg:
The Knights enter the season returning many key players from a talented squad last year. Seniors Stephanie Reiter, Leslie Wilson, Terri Dirks, and Emily Timmermans will lead the team into the first games of the year. The Knights ).
UW-Stout:
UW-Stout enters the game with one game under its belt as it beat Crown College 95-33. The Blue Devils were led by Ronnie Moltzau and Whitney Rawdoe who combined for 25 points and five rebounds.
Beloit College:
Beloit enters the tournament 1-0 after defeating Concordia University 63-55. The Buccaneer’s had three players score in double figures. Sarah Stariha led the charge with 15 points while Kristin Acosta and Lauren McNanna chipped in for 12, and 14, respectfully. The three also teamed up to grab 14 rebounds, 9 assists and five steals.
Lakeland College
Lakeland College will also be playing its first games of the year. The Muskies are led by seniors Erin Cepa and Alyssa Schuttenhelm. They combined to average 14.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and totaled 23 blocks last year.
