WAVERLY, Iowa—Senior Leslie Wilson (Austin, Minn.) recorded her third double-double of the season (15 points, 11 rebounds) in the 59-43 victory over Buena Vista Wednesday. Wartburg moved to 14-5 on the year and 7-3 in Iowa Conference play.

Senior Terri Dirks (Monticello) had a team-high 15 points and finished just one point shy of her career mark on the night.

Classmate Stephanie Reiter (Buckingham) completed the trio of players in double digits with her 11 points.  

The Orange and Black took the 28-18 lead at the break. The Beavers cut the lead to nine points in the first 30 seconds of the second half, but this would be the closest they would come as the Knights led by a double digit margin for the
remainder of the game.

Buena Vista was led by 19 points from Laura Hilby.

As a team, Wartburg’s defense held BV to a team field goal percentage of .259, including .154 from beyond the arc.

The Knights conclude their week homestand Saturday when they host Luther at 2 p.m.
