WAVERLY, Iowa-- Freshman Kailey Kladivo (Traer) scored a career-high 29 points off the bench in Wartburg's 77-32 win over nonconference opponent Bethany Lutheran Tuesday.
She had 10 points in the first half and added 17 in the second frame. Kladivo was the team's second-leading rebounder with seven boards on the night.
With the win, the Knights move to 3-3 on the year and the Vikings fall to 1-4.
Senior Baileigh O'Brien (Fort Dodge) recorded her third consecutive double-double with 11 points and a career-best 12 rebounds.
Sophomore Alyssa Sager (Albert Lea, Minn.) nearly reached double figures with nine points.
As a team, the Orange and Black had a season-high field goal percentage (.485), made a season-best 22 free throws and pulled down a new season mark of 51 rebounds.
Wartburg took the 3-2 lead in the first four minutes of the game and never looked back.
The Knights return to the court next Saturday, Dec. 15 when they host Martin Luther at 2 p.m.
