The Wartburg men's tennis team moved to 3-0 on the season with is 8-1 win over Ripon College Sunday.
In singles play, Chris Buckingham defeated his opponent 6-1 and 6-2 at the No. 1 spot.
Brian Rasmussen won 6-2 and 6-1 at No. 2 and Eric Hilpert won the first set 6-0, but fell 6-4 and 10-6 in No. 3.
Blayne Willadsen won at No. 4 (6-3, 6-4) and Dayton Stevens was victorious (6-2, 6-1) at No. 5.
Josh Trueblood won in shuout fashion (6-0, 6-0) at No. 6.
In doubles play, Buckingham and Trueblood combined for the 8-2 win at the top spot. Rasmussen/Hilpert combined for the 10-8 win at No. 2 and Stevens/Willadsen teamed up for the 8-1 win at No. 3.
The Knights return to the court Saturday against Cornell and Luther in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
