Knights Blank Storm

INDIANOLA, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's tennis team defeated Iowa Conference opponent, Simpson, in shutout fashion Satuday.

In singles play, Chris Buckingham won 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 at No. 1. Brian Rasmussen was victorious at No. 2 (6-3, 6-2) while Eric Hilpert won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3.

Blayne Willadsen won his No. 4 match 6-0, 6-0 and Walker Wilson won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5.

In doubles play, Buckingham/Josh Trueblood combined for the 8-5 at No. 1 and Dayton Stevens/Coy Wiegemann won 8-5 at the second spot.

The Knights return to action at the Iowa Conference Championships May 4-5.
