WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's basketball team (12-6 overall, 5-2 IIAC) defeated Luther (10-8, 2-5) 61-54 Wednesday night.

This victory marked the seventh straight for the Knights over the Norse.

Junior Carly Jacobs (Greene) and freshman Bobbi Burrows (Bondurant) each had 13 points on the night. Burrows scored 11 of those in just the second half.

Senior Baileigh O'Brien (Fort Dodge) joined them in double digits with 12.

The Orange and Black took the 25-23 lead at halftime.

Wartburg used an impressive field goal percentage of .667 in the second half to outscore Luther 36-31.

The score was knotted 38 all with 10:30 to play, before the Knights compiled a 6-0 run over the next minute and a half to take the lead for good.

The Orange and Black will host Loras Saturday at 2 p.m.
