DUBUQUE, Iowa-- The No. 1 Wartburg wrestling team won all three of its duals Saturday at the Iowa Conference Duals hosted by the University of Dubuque. Wartburg has now won 164 consecutive dual meets against IIAC opponents.
The Knights moved to 17-0 on the year which increased their season winning streak also to 17.
The Orange and Black are the No. 1 seed for the Iowa Conference Championship as they are 7-0. They will host the No. 2 seed Coe (12-5, 6-1) Friday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Conference Championship.
This dual meet will determine the conference champion as the conference tournament no longer exists.
Other notes:
-Kenny Anderson recorded his second and third pins of the season and moved his winning streak to 18 for the season.
-Landon Williams and Puna Soriano tallied their ninth pins of the year.
-Cole Welter recorded his fourth of the season, Gerard Roman recorded his fifth and Kodie Silvestri had his second.
-Ryan Fank had his seventh and eighth pin of the season.
-Sam Upah surpassed the 20-win mark for the year.
