WAVERLY, Iowa-- Four players finished in double digits in Wartburg's 88-73 win over nonconference opponent, Monmouth, Monday night.
The Knights were led by a double-double from sophomore Kailey Kladivo (Traer) as she tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds in her first game back from an injury.
Senior Carly Jacobs (Allison) matched Kladivo's point total while junior Alyssa Sager (Albert Lea, Minn.) had 13 points and classmate Chelsey Wedeking (Nashua) tallied 10 points.
The Orange and Black began the game on an 8-0 run over the first four minutes of play and led by as many points as seven twice in the frame.
Wartburg did not relinquish its double-figure lead over the last eight minutes in the second half.
The Knights held the team advantage in three-point field goal percentage (.400 vs. .286) and free throw percentage (.722 vs. .611).
The Orange and Black are off from competition until Wednesday, Jan. 8 on the road against the University of Dubuque at 8 p.m.
