INDIANOLA, Iowa-- Sophomore Kailey Kladivo (Traer) and junior Alyssa Sager (Albert Lea, Minn.) each finished in double digits in Wartburg's 74-64 loss to Simpson Saturday. Kladivo had a team-best 18 points and Sager had 10.

Kladivo made a career-best 12 free throws on the day.

The Knights led 31-30 at halftime but the Storm compiled a strong second-half effort and outscored them, 44-33.

The score was tied three times in the second frame and neither team led by more than three points until there was 6:42 remaining and Simpson took a four-point lead (56-52).

The Orange and Black compiled a 6-2 run over the next two and a half minutes to take the 58-57 lead.

Simpson responded with an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to regain the lead for good.

Wartburg returns to the court Wednesday when it hosts Loras at 6 p.m. in the first of a three-game homestand.
