MONMOUTH, Ill.-- The Wartburg women's basketball team started the season 1-0 with its 76-55 win over Monmouth (0-1) Saturday.

Four Knights finished in double digits and were led by 13 from junior Bobbi Burrows (Durant). Freshmen Kristie Sommer (Marion) and Miranda Murphy each had 11 and junior Kailey Kladivo (Traer) had 10.

The Orange and Black led 36-26 at halftime.

As a team, Wartburg held Monmouth to a team field goal percentage of .296 on the game.

The Knights return to the court Tuesday when they host Grinnell at 7:30 p.m.
