Wartburg Travels to Face No. 6 St. Thomas

WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (8-0 overall) travels to St. Paul, Minn. Friday to face No. 6 St. Thomas (7-0). The Tommies received the No. 6 ranking in the WBCA Top 25 poll released Dec. 16 and the No. 8 spot in the d3hoops.com spot released Dec. 15.

The Series
The Tommies lead the all-time series at 2-0 but the teams have not faced each other since the 2009-10 season.

A Look at the Teams
Wartburg

Three players are averaging double-digits entering Friday's game: junior Kailey Kladivo (Traer) has 17.3, classmate Bobbi Burrows (Bondurant) has 11.4 and freshman Katie Sommer (Marion) has 10.6. Katie's twin sister Kristie is nearly in double figures with 9.8 PPG.

Kladivo leads the team on the glass with 6.8 rebounds per game and Katie has a team-high 34 assists.

St. Thomas
Maggie Weiers leads the team with 12.3 PPG and Jenna Dockter joins her in double digits with 11.7. Weiers also leads the team on the boards with 6.7 rebounds per game.

They were picked to finish first in the MIAC preseason coaches poll.
