WAVERLY, Iowa-- Junior Chelsey Wedeking (Nashua) recorded a career-high 20 points in Wartburg's 75-67 loss to Simpson Wednesday. She scored 15 in the second half alone.

Sophomore Kailey Kladivo (Traer) joined her in double figures with 11 points.

The Storm took the 37-34 lead at halftime and maintained their lead in the second frame.

The Knights cut the margin to five with 8:02 to play but Simpson answered with a 8-3 run over the next two and a half minutes to build its lead to ten.

The Orange and Black were within six with 1:06 and 0:42 to play but the Storm made all of their attempts from the charity stripe.

Wartburg concludes its two-game homestand Saturday when it hosts Luther at 2 p.m.
