PELLA, Iowa-- Three Wartburg players, juniors Alyssa Sager (Albert Lea, Minn.) and Holly Halstead (Hudson) and sophomore Bobbi Burrows (Bondurant), finished in double digits with 13, 12 and 11 points, respectively Saturday.

The Knights defeated Central, 54-51 to move to 11-14 overall and 5-9 in Iowa Conference games to solidify the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament.

Wartburg will travel to face Simpson Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Sager narrowly missed a double-double with her nine rebounds. Classmate Mary Brown (Spirit Lake) also had nine boards.

The Knights led 22-21 at halftime and continued to maintain their lead in the second frame.

The game was tied 48-48 with 1:39 remaining, but the Orange and Black made their free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
