Box ScoreCEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Junior Bobbie Burrows (Bondurant) scored a team-best 20 points in the narrow 61-59 loss to Coe Wednesday. This was her second straight game with 20 points and third of the season in which she had 20 or more points.
Wartburg took the 36-26 lead into halftime as it ended the frame on a 12-6 run over the last four minutes.
In the second half, the Kohawks started on a 13-2 run over the first nine minutes of the game to take the 39-38 lead. The Knights sliced the margin to two with 3:25 to play and regained the lead on a trey from Burrows at 2:34.
Coe answered on a three-point basket of its own to take the lead once again. The Orange and Black were within two with 39 seconds to go and while Coe did not make its free throw attempts, Wartburg was unfortunately not able to score as time expired.
The Knights return to action when they host Buena Vista Saturday at 6 p.m.
