INDIANOLA, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's basketball team (12-7 overall, 3-5 IIAC) beat Simpson (14-5, 4-4), 75-59, Saturday.

Junior Bobbie Burrows (Bondurant) led all scorers with 22 points as she tied her career-best with six three-pointers. Classmate Kailey Kladivo (Traer) and freshman Miranda Murphy (Alleman) joined her in double digits as each had 10 points.

This marked the first back-to-back wins for the Knights at Simpson since 1994-95 and 1995-96. The Orange and Black earned their first win in Indianola since Feb. 27, 2004 last season in the Iowa Conference Tournament on Feb. 25.

Wartburg took the 49-41 lead into halftime and extended its lead to as many as 18 in the second half.

As a team, the Knights held the Storm to a .167 team field goal percentage from three-point land in the second frame.

The Orange and Black return to the court Wednesday when they open a two-game homestand against Coe Wednesday at 6 p.m.
