WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (2-0 overall) defeated nonconference opponent, Fontbonne (0-1) 86-50 Saturday. Four players finished in double digits for the Knights and were led by 20 from senior Bobbie Burrows (Bondurant). Classmate Kailey Kladivo (Traer) had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, sophomore Megan Murphy (Allema) and twin sister Miranda Murphy finished with 13 and 10 points, respetively to complete the leading scorers.

WARTBURG vs. FONTEBONNE HIGHLIGHTS


The Orange and Black held the narrow lead at 13-8 after the first quarter, but started to build their margin over the next three frames and led by as many as 41 late in the game.

Wartburg's defense also held the Griffins to 29.8% from the field and 12.5% from three-point range.
