Junior Kailey Kladivo (Traer) and freshman Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) finished in double digits for the Knights with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Kladivo had a team-best nine rebounds on the night.
The Orange and Black opened the game on an 20-9 run over the first eight and a half minutes. The Norse answered with a 10-3 run over the minute and a half to slice the margin to four points. After two free throws from Ka. Sommer with 7:06 left in the half, Luther took over with a 10-0 run in that time span to take the 31-25 lead at halftime.
Wartburg was able to knot the score in the second frame at 38 all on a trey from freshman Morgan Neuendorf (Shell Rock) with 13:15 remaining and again at 40 all on a free throw from Ka. Sommer. The Norse took the lead at 42-40, which they did not relinquish.
The Knights return to the court Saturday for their regular-season finale on the road against Central at 2 p.m.
