Box Score
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- The No. 8/8 Wartburg women's basketball team (7-0 overall, 3-0 IIAC) won its seventh-straight game to stay undefeated in the 78-59 victory over Coe (2-4, 1-2) Wednesday.

Junior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) had a team-best 21 points while classmate Morgan Neuendorf (Shell Rock) tallied her first double-double of her career with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Her rebounds marked a career-best.

Juniors Miranda Murphy (Alleman) and Kristie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) rounded out the leading scorers with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

As a team, the Knights set a new single-game program record with their .952 free throw percentage (20-21) in the game. This broke the old mark of .950 (19-20) set against Simpson in 2011.

The Orange and Black opened the game on an 8-0 run over the first three minutes but the Kohawks took the one-point lead with 1:09 left in the quarter. Murphy gave Wartburg the lead at the end of the frame with her layup as time expired.

The Knights outscored Coe 26-5 in the second quarter to take a 22 point lead into halftime. The Orange and Black continued to hold their lead in the second half and had a 29-point margin in the fourth quarter.

Wartburg held the team advantages in all three shooting percentage categories and held the Kohawks to .217 from beyond the arc. The Knights also out rebounded Coe 42-30.

The Orange and Black returns to the court Saturday when it hosts Viterbo at 5 p.m.
