WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (18-6 overall, 8-5 IIAC) moved its winning streak to five in the 70-57 win over Dubuque (8-16, 3-10) Wednesday.

Sophomore Morgan Neuendorf (Shell Rock) led all scorers with 17 points, just one point shy of her career-high. Classmates Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) and Aryn Jones (Marion) each had 13 points and Miranda Murphy (Alleman) rounded out the leading scorers with 10. Jones nearly had a double-double with her team-best eight rebounds.

The Spartans were ahead 11-8 with 5:01 to play in the first quarter, but the Knights answered with a 12-0 run over that time frame to take the 20-11 lead at the end of the first frame.

The Orange and Black continued to add to their margin and led by as many as 17 in the fourth quarter.

Wartburg held the advantage in field goal percentage (.463 vs. .339) and the battle on the boards (42-29) which included 13 offensive rebounds.
