Wartburg Hosts Coe in Iowa Conference Tournament Quarterfinals

WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (19-6 overall) earned the No. 3 seed and will host Coe (14-11), the No. 6 seed in the Iowa Conference Tournament Tuesday at 7 p.m. Tuesday's winner will travel to No. 2 Loras Thursday at 7 p.m. in the IIAC semifinals.

The Series
Wartburg leads the all-time series 36-18. The teams split the regular season meetings, each winning on the road.

Wartburg
The Knights have qualified for the tournament for eight straight years and 16 of the 17 years the tournament has existed.

Wartburg brings a six-game winning streak into tonight. Senior Kailey Kladivo (Traer) leads the team with 13.9 PPG and 7.9 rebounds/game. Sophomore Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) is the second-leading scorer with 12.1 PPG and leads the team with 110 assists.

Coe
Aleena Hobbs paces the team with 18.4 PPG and 8.5 rebounds/game. Mickey Hansche and Jenna Lehman round out the leading scorers with 15.3 and 12.4 PPG, respectively.

The women's basketball team is ranked in the top 100 in 15 statistical categories, as released by the NCAA on Tuesday.
 
The Knights are ranked 16th in three-point field-goal percentage (35.4), 19th in three-point field goals made (191), 20th in three-point field goals per game (7.6), 32nd in assist to turnover ratio (1.04), 35th in defensive rebounds per game (30), 36th in field-goal percentage (42.3), 46th in assists (387) and assists per game (15.5), 49th in fewest turnovers (371) and three-point field goals attempted (540), 59th in won-lost percentage (76.0), 66th in scoring margin (11.1), 74th in final points (1,736), 78th in scoring offense (69.4) and 83rd in field-goal percentage defense (34.8).
 
Individually, three Knights are ranked within the top 100 in seven statistical categories. Senior Bobbie Burrows (Bondurant) is ranked 36th in three-point field goals made (64), 44th in three-point field goals per game (2.56), 61st in three-point field-goal percentage (37.2) and 68th in three-point field goals attempted (172). Classmate Kailey Kladivo (Traer) is ranked 80th in field-goal percentage (48.6). Sophomore Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) is ranked 59th in assists (110) and 68th in assists per game (4.4).
