No. 12/14 Wartburg Opens Two-Game Home Stand

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 12/14 Wartburg women's basketball team (16-2 overall, 8-1 IIAC) opens a two-game home stand Wednesday when it hosts Coe (9-9, 4-5) Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The Series
Wartburg holds the all-time series lead over Coe at 37-19.

Junior Miranda Murphy (Alleman) leads the team with 13.7 PPG. Classmate Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) follows at 12.8 PPG, twin sister Kristie is third at 10.7 and Aryn Jones rounds out the leading scorers with 10.1. Katie is the leading rebounder with 6.1/game.

Katie currently ranks third-best on the program's all-time career leader list in assists with 298. She needs nine to move into second. Katie is also ninth on the career leader list for three-point field goals made (105).

Kristie currently ranks sixth in that category with 149 and needs 18 to move into fifth.
Jones has now moved into fifth in blocks (69).
Coe
Jenna Lehman leads her team at 18.3 PPG. Aleena Hobbs is second at (16.7), and Mickey Hansche rounds out the leading scorers with 13.3 PPG. Hobbs leads the team on the boards with 8.1 rebounds/contest.
