WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 11/13 Wartburg women's basketball team opens a two-game road trip this week. Its first opponent will be Loras (12-7, 6-4) Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Knights bring a three-game winning streak into the matchup while the Duhawks have won six-straight. The Orange and Black are also seeking the season sweep as they claimed the first meeting of the year, 73-55, on Jan. 4.

Wartburg holds the all-time series lead at 47-25.

Junior Miranda Murphy (Alleman) leads the team with 13.6 PPG. Classmate Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) follows at 13.0 PPG, twin sister Kristie is third at 10.8 and Aryn Jones rounds out the leading scorers with 10.3. Katie is the leading rebounder with 6.1/game.
Katie currently ranks third-best on the program's all-time career leader list in assists with 305. She needs two to move into second. Katie is also ninth on the career leader list for three-point field goals made (108).
Kristie currently ranks sixth in that category with 155 and needs 12 to move into fifth.
Jones has now moved into fifth in blocks (70).
Loras
Terese McMahon leads her team with 13.6 PPG. Lori Obendorf follows at 13.1 and Cyerra Hutchins at 10.8. Obendorf is the leading rebounder with 8.6/game.
