No. 4/13 Wartburg Hosts Loras

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 4/13 Wartburg women's basketball team (5-0 overall, 1-0 IIAC) hosts Loras (3-3, 0-2) Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Duhawks have dropped their last two games.

The Series
Wartburg owns the all-time lead at 48-26, which includes the last three-straight.

Three Knights currently average in double digits. Senior Miranda Murphy (Alleman) leads the way at 13.0 PPG, while classmate Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) joins her in double digits with 12.2.

Sommer leads the team on the glass with 6.0 rebounds per game, and assists (30). Junior Emma Gerdes (Cedar Falls) has a team-best 15 steals.

Katie ranks 12th with 1,030 points, second with 380 assists, sixth with 130 three-point field goals, fourth with 330 free throws.

Twin sister Kristie ranks third with 187 three-point field goals.

Senior Aryn Jones (Marion) ranks fifth with 77 blocked shots.

Loras
Addie Oberman paces the team with 13.3 PPG and Marissa Schroeder follows with 9.2. Cyerra Hutchins leads the team on the glass with 5.8 rebounds/game.

The Knights rank 1st in won-lost percentage (100), 13th in fewest fouls (59), 19th in free-throw percentage (76), 28th in assist turnover ratio (1.16), 30th in scoring margin (20.2), 30th in turnovers per game (14), 31st in fewest turnovers (70), 43rd in three-point field goals per game (7.6), 51st in scoring offense (74), 57th in scoring defense (53.8), 58th in rebound margin (8.6), 60th in turnover margin (5), 63rd in assists per game (16.2), 79th in defensive rebounds per game (30), and 98th in field-goal percentage (41.2).
 
Individually, three Knights rank in the top 100 of six statistical categories: Katie Sommer  17th in assists per game (6), 45th in assists (30), 73rd in assist turnover ratio (1.88), and 95th in free-throw percentage (84.6); Miranda Murphy ranks 46th in assist turnover ratio (2.14) and 78th in three-point field-goal percentage (42.3); and Gerdes ranks 73rd in steals per game (3).
