WAVERLY, Iowa-- Top-seed Wartburg (24-2 overall) hosts second-seed Luther (17-9) in the first-ever Iowa Conference tournament championship game in Levick Arena Saturday at 4 p.m. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Wartburg is hosting the tournament championship game for the first time since 2001.

This marks the Knights' sixth appearance in the tournament championship game and their second in three years.

The Series
The all-time series is tied at 39-39. Each team won the regular season meeting on their own court. Luther defeated Wartburg for the IIAC tournament championship in 2015 61-53 in the only previous meeting between the two teams for the IIAC tournament championship

This is Wartburg's ninth-straight appearance in the conference tournament and 17^th overall appearance in the tournament's 18-year history. The Knights seek their first tournament championship win since 2002.

Junior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) leads the team with 13.8 PPG. Classmates Miranda Murphy (Alleman) follows at 13.3, Kristie Sommer has 11.8 and Morgan Neuendorf (Shell Rock) rounds out the leading scorers with 10.4.

Katie Sommer is the leading rebounder with 5.7/contest.

Season Record Watch
Katie Sommer continues to extend her single-season school record in assists with 145 to date. She set the mark at 129 last season.

Kristie Sommer also continues to extend her single-season school record with 79 three-point field goals. Stephanie Reiter set the previous record with 73 in 2011-12.

As a team, the Knights need four more treys to break that record.

Career Record Watch
Kristie Sommer has 118 three-point field goals in her career which ranks third on the program's career leader list.

Katie ranks seventh in that category with 11922 and is second in assists (331).

Junior Aryn Jones (Marion) has 73 blocks which ranks as fifth-best.
