No. 1 Wartburg Takes Second at NWCA National Duals

FORT WAYNE, Ind.--The No. 1 Wartburg wrestling team advanced to the NWCA National Duals finals with a 32-15 win over No. 4 Ithaca.  

During the finals match, the Orange and Black fell to No. 3 Augsburg, 21-17.

-From 2002 (when the NWCA National Duals was created) until 2012, it had only been Wartburg and Augsburg in the finals each year. This did not happen in the 2013 Duals due to both programs being on the same side of the bracket. The 2014 finals was between Wartburg and Concordia-Moorhead, 2015 was between Wartburg and UW-Whitewater and 2016 was Wartburg vs. Wabash.
