No. 2/2 Wartburg Hosts Coe

WAVERLY, Iowa--  The No. 2/2 Wartburg women's basketball team (23-0 overall, 14-0 IIAC) hosts Coe (13-10, 10-4) Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Knights have won the regular season title, while the Kohawks are tied for second on the IIAC standings.

The Orange and Black are one of six teams in all NCAA divisions that remain undefeated.

The Series
Wartburg owns the all-time series lead at 40-19 , which includes the last three straight meetings.

Senior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) is the leading scorer for the Knights with 15.3 PPG. She also has a team-high 142 assists, and 54 steals. Katie is the conference's third-leading scorer (18.0 PPG) and assists leader (6.3/game).

Classmate Miranda Murphy (Alleman) follows with 11.8 PPG and leads the team with 5.6 rebounds/game. Senior Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) completes the team's leading scorers at 10.0 PPG.

In IIAC games, senior Kristie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) has 10.7 PPG and Aryn Jones (Marion) rounds out those in double figures with 10.1.

Career Leader List Watch
Katie is now seventh with 1,321 points, the all-time career leader with 492 assists, fifth with 170 three-point field goals, and third with 425 free throws.

Twin sister Kristie is the program's career leader in three-point field goals at 226. She is also 13th with 1,028 points.

Miranda Murphy joins the scoring leader list at 1,024, which ranks 14th.

Senior Aryn Jones (Marion) ranks third with 109 blocked shots.

Single Season Leader List Watch
Katie is 10th in free throws (117) and is second in assists (142). She needs 15 to break her own single season record.

Jones is 10th in blocked shots (33).

Coe
Two players average double figures as Jenna Lehman is the leading scorer at 18.1 PPG and Aleena Hobbs follows at 13.1. Lehman also leads the team on the boards with 5.4 rebounds/game.
