No. 2/3 Wartburg Hosts Nebraska Wesleyan

WAVERLY, Iowa--  The No. 2/3 Wartburg women's basketball team (22-0 overall, 13-0 IIAC) hosts Nebraska Wesleyan (13-10, 4-10) Saturday at 2 p.m. The Knights have won the regular season title, while the Prairie Wolves are seventh on the IIAC standings.

The Orange and Black are one of seven teams in all NCAA divisions that remain undefeated.

Wartburg
Senior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) is the leading scorer for the Knights with 14.7 PPG. She also has a team-high 135 assists, and 47 steals. Katie is the fourth-leading scorer in the IIAC at 17.2 PPG.

Classmate Miranda Murphy (Alleman) follows with 11.8 PPG and leads the team with 5.6 rebounds/game.

In IIAC games, senior Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) is the team's second-leading scorer at 10.8 PPG. Classmates Kristie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) has 10.6 PPG and Aryn Jones (Marion) rounds out those in double figures with 10.2.

Career Leader List Watch
Katie is now eighth with 1,293 points, the all-time career leader with 485 assists, seventh with 166 three-point field goals, and third with 413 free throws.

Twin sister Kristie is now the program's career leader in three-point field goals at 223. She is also 13th with 1,016 points.

Miranda Murphy joins the scoring leader list at 1,012, which ranks 12th.

Senior Aryn Jones (Marion) ranks fourth with 107 blocked shots.

Nebraska Wesleyan
The Prairie Wolves enter the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Caitlin Navratil leads the team with 17.7 PPG, and is the league's leading scorer at 20.0 PPG.

Klaire Phillips leads the IIAC with her .886 free throw percentage.

Kate Schulte joins her in double figures at 11.9 and a team-best 6.5 rebounds/game.
