No. 1 Wartburg Wins NCAA Championship

CLEVELAND, Ohio-- The No. 1 Wartburg wrestling team won its 14th NCAA National Championship Saturday with 136.5 points. This was also the third-straight title for the program.

The Knights had three individual National Champions: Brock Rathbun, 133; Cross Cannone, 149, and Kyle Fank, 197.

-This is Thomsen's second All-American finish.
-This is Lutes's first career All-American finish.
-This is Fank's second All-American finish and first individual National Championship.
-Fank moved his winning streak to 23.
-In Battle of the Burgs: Rathbun beat Bennyhoff 9-6 dec and Epps beat Thomsen 10-6 dec
-Fank has now won the last three against Patron, including an 8-5 decision at the Loras Dual and a 6-1 decision at the Regional Championships.
