No 19/20 Wartburg Travels to Face Buena Vista

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 16/18 Wartburg women's basketball team (12-3 overall, 54-1 American Rivers) travels to face Buena Vista (5-11, 0-7) Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Knights are in a three-way tie for first in the conference standings while BV is ninth.

The Series
Wartburg owns the all-time series lead at 42-36 and  have claimed the last five meetings.

Wartburg
Junior Emma Gerdes (Cedar Falls) leads the team with 12.2 PPG. Senior Adrienne Boettger (Cedar Falls) and junior Amanda Brainerd (DeWitt) and join her in double figures with 11.9 and 10.0 PPG, respectively.

Boettger has a team-best .692 field goal percentage, while Brainerd leads the team from beyond the arc (.452) and from the free throw line (.842).

Brainerd leads the team on the glass with 6.0 rebounds/game and Gerdes has a team-best 71 assists.

Buena Vista
Holly Schneider leads her team with 12.0 PPG and 7.3 rebounds.

BV enters the night on a four-game losing streak.

Against the Conference
Boettger is the eighth-leading scorer (12.0 PPG). Gerdes is the second-leading rebounder (8.5), and leads the conference in assists (3.5). Brainerd is second in free throw percentage (.885).
