FULTON, Mo. - The No. 3-ranked Wartburg women's basketball team took a road victory defeating Westminster 91-66 in its first of two games played in Missouri.
The Orange and Black took an early lead taking a 19-point advantage after the first quarter and having a 20-point lead over the Blue Jays at half.
Freshman
Macy Harris notched a career-high 16-points and contributed two assists. Junior
Payton Draper also led the Knights with 14 points, four rebounds and two steals.
Senior
Emma Gerdes earned nine points for Wartburg with six rebounds, seven assists and one block. Junior
Tori Hazard also had six rebounds, three steals and three points for the Orange and Black.
Juniors
Ally Conrad and
Kaitlyn Volesky and sophomore
Hannah Anderson each scored 11-points for the Knights.
Wartburg was 33-of-70 in field goal shooting and 13-of-15 from the free throw line. The Knights earned 44 rebounds, 10 steals and five blocks.
Next up, the Knights will head to St. Louis to face Fontbonne on Monday, Nov. 25 at 4 pm.
