PELLA - The No.8-ranked Wartburg women's basketball team defeated the Central Dutch 103-69 in its conference opening game.

Emma Gerdes led the Orange and Black with 19 points and contributed six rebounds and nine assists. Junior
Payton Draper scored 15 points for Wartburg and also had one assist and one steal.
Senior
Alecia Kimball also contributed 15 points for the Orange and Black. Ten other Knights scored with 51 points being bench points.
The Knights were 34-of-66 in field goal shooting and 23-of-25 from the free throw line. Wartburg also earned 24 total rebounds, nine steals and five blocks.
This was Wartburg's biggest win over the Dutch scoring over 100 points. Previously, the team's highest scoring game was during the 2016-17 season when the Knights took a 92-58 victory at Kuyper Gymnasium.
Next up, the Knights head to Storm Lake on Saturday, Dec. 7 to play Buena Vista at 2 pm.
