CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The top-ranked Wartburg wrestling team remained undefeated with an American Rivers Conference road dual win over No. 5 Coe College, taking down the Kohawks 24-12 Thursday, Jan. 30.
The Knights improve to 15-0 overall and 7-0 in the league, while Coe drops to 12-3 overall and 5-2 in the A-R-C.
After earning decisions in the first three bouts to claim a 9-0 lead, the Kohawks responded with a pin at 149 to trim the Wartburg lead to 9-6. 
Wartburg's Sandoval and Forsyth answered with wins to further extend the visitors' lead, but a Coe decision at 174 kept the Kohawks in the match. However, a 
Kyle Briggs pin, his 10th of the season, sealed the victory for the Knights.
