Wartburg College, led by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), hosted its Annual United Sports Day and Special Olympics Iowa on Saturday, Feb. 8 inside The Wartburg-Waverly Sports & Wellness Center. 

The Wartburg SAAC Executive Leadership group includes Joey Baumann (baseball), Brady Kyner (wrestling), Bailey Naig (women's basketball), along with Erica Rittgers (track & field) and Matt Schneider (track & field).

250 Wartburg student-athletes participated in event, which hosted nearly 100 Special Olympic Athletes. Kiwanis of Waverly donated $1,000 to Special Olympics Iowa.
