Fifth-year head coach
Chris Gustas will be at the helm of a young team as the Orange and Black compile only five upperclassmen and welcome in six freshmen. Junior
Lucas Huffman led Wartburg in the No. 1 singles spot all of last season posting a 5-9 record, while senior
Jared Hefel and sophomore
Zach Heyerhoff also tallied five victories in their respected positions a year ago.Â
"We have a lot of new faces. Five freshmen, a junior transfer, and one player back from an injury," Gustas said. "All these guys have good potential so I expect that we will grow quickly."
The aforementioned freshmen include:
Cade Davis from Ankeny, Iowa,
Jackson Eells from Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
Noah Mason from Clear Lake, Iowa,
Nile Petersen from Atlantic, Iowa,
Alexey Petyushev from Moskva, Russia and
