WAVERLY, Iowa - Wartburg men's tennis will begin its 2021 spring schedule at the Boylan Tennis Center in Rockford, Illinois for a pair of matches against the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Illinois Wesleyan. The first match against MSOE is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30 and the contest against the Titans will start at 12:30 p.m.
This will be the first time Wartburg and Illinois Wesleyan will compete in a men's tennis match while the Knights and MSOE will meet for the fourth time with Wartburg holding a 3-1 lead in the all-time series.
During the fall, the Knights competed in two games and ended the season with a 1-1 record with the only victory coming against Saint Ambrose. Senior

Nile Petersen each went 2-0 in singles play during the fall. Junior
Lucas Huffman was slotted as the number one singles player for Wartburg and finished the season with a 1-1 ledger.
The Knights performed well at the American Rivers Conference individual tournament this past fall as three players received bronze medals at the event. Freshman
Cade Davis secured a third place finish in the B-Singles competition while the pair of Huffman and freshman
Jackson Eells received bronze medals in A-Doubles.
As a team the Knights finished the fall campaign with an 8-4 record in singles play and 2-4 ledger in doubles.
