AMES, Iowa - The Wartburg College wrestling team opened its 2020-21 season with a 35-6 loss at Iowa State University on Sunday, Jan. 3 at the Hilton Coliseum.
During the varsity match, the Knights' performance was highlighted by decisions in favor of
Zane Mulder at 165 lbs. and
Kyle Briggs at 174 lbs., accounting for all of Wartburg's point total.
The match marked Wartburg 25th all-time dual against a Division I opponent. Competition in Ames also included a 'B team' dual along with five exhibitions.Â
