INDIANOLA, Iowa - The No. 1/2-ranked Wartburg wrestling team took down No. 14 Coe College and Simpson College to improve its record to 3-1 overall and 3-0 during American Rivers Conference action on Saturday evening at the Simpson Triangular. 

The Knights kicked off the afternoon with a slim margin of victory over the 14th ranked Kohawks. After a pair of decisions in favor of Coe to start the match, a pin from Kris Rumph at 141 lbs. tied the match at 6-6. Coe quickly answered, however, with a fall of their own at 149. 

Wins from David Hollingsworth, Zane Mulder, and Kyle Briggs, including a pin from Briggs, gave Wartburg a 19-12 advantage. Kobe Woods earned a major decision victory at 197 to seal the victory for the Orange & Black with an eight-point lead heading into the final match.

During the second match of the day, Simpson opened the an injury default at 125 before the Knights rolled past the Storm the rest of the way.
