Knights Shutout NWU 52-0; Keller Earns 200th Career Win

WAVERLY, IA—Checking the first win at home off the list, the No. 1 Wartburg Knights cruised to a 52-0 win over the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves inside Levick Arena.

The Knights move to 2-0, 2-0 A-R-C on the year, while the Prairie Wolves move to 2-1, 0-1 A-R-C.

Eclipsing 200 Wins

Director of Wrestling, Eric Keller, hit the 200-career win mark as the Knights defeated Nebraska Wesleyan inside Levick Arena.

Weekly Rankings

In the D3Wrestle.com rankings, the Knights are represented in eight weight classes. At 133, Pins is ranked No. 3, while Hollingsworth holds the same position at 157. Rumph, at 149, is ranked No. 2. Terukina is an honorable mention at 141. Mulder is No. 2 at 174, while Jordon Brandon is No. 7 in the HWT class. Cael Kruger and Kobe Woods are contenders at 184 and 197.

Weekly Honors

After taking top honors at the Luther Open, Mulder earned the Male Athlete of the Week and Wrestler of the Week honors from the A-R-C.

Mulder won first place at the Luther Open in the Elite Bracket, winning at 174. Opening with a first-round bye, Mulder had a tech fall win over UW-La Crosse. Mulder had a fall of UW-Platteville's Nick Dado in 6:36 in round three, before defeating two-time NAIA National Champ and current University of Iowa wrestler, Brennan Swafford.

Next Time on the Mat

The Knights will head to the Augsburg and Concordia Opens on Nov. 20. Action on both mats is set to begin at 9 a.m.
