WAVERLY, Iowa - The No. 1/2-ranked Wartburg wrestling team continues its homestand this Saturday, Feb. 13 at Levick Arena, hosting Nebraska Wesleyan University and No. 8/9 Loras College. 

MEET SCHEDULE (rolling schedule)
Wartburg vs. Nebraska Wesleyan, 11 a.m.
Loras vs. Nebraska Wesleyan, 12:30 p.m.
Wartburg vs. Loras, 2 p.m.

Two other mats inside Levick Arena will also host extra individual matches separate from the varsity duals throughout the meet.

All three mats will be streamed via Wartburg Knight Vision.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Two people per each participant (student-athlete/coach/staff member) will be permitted to attend the meet inside Levick Arena. Seating for spectators will take place in the west bleachers.

SENIOR DAY
The Wartburg wrestling senior class of 2021 will be honored prior to the meet. Brenden Baker, Omar Begic, Kyle Briggs, Nick Meling, Noah Padilla, and Brock Rathbun will be recognized for their contribution to the Wartburg wrestling program.

LAST TIME OUT
Wartburg improved to 6-0 within the American Rivers Conference last Saturday, Feb. 6, at Levick Arena. The Knights defeated Buena Vista University 49-0 and Central College 39 to -1. 

The last time the Knights shutout a pair of opponents at the same meet came during the 2018 Iowa Conference Duals in Storm Lake, Iowa, defeating Dubuque 50-0 and Buena Vista 54-0.

HOLLINGSWORTH HONORED BY A-R-C
The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced its weekly honors for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 7, with David Hollingsworth (Jr., Owings Mills, Md.) named the Wrestler of the Week.

Hollingsworth, a transfer student-athlete from Baltimore, Md., is off to a 3-0 start in Orange & Black during A-R-C competition at 157 lbs. On Saturday versus Central College, Hollingsworth took down the No. 7-ranked and returning NWCA All-American Rob Areyano, with an 11-6 decision victory.

The Knights have now collected the A-R-C Wrestler of the Week award for the third consecutive week, with Hollingsworth following laurels from Kris Rumph (Feb. 1) and Zane Mulder (Jan. 25).

IN THE RANKINGS
The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released its first edition of the 2021 NCAA Division III Coaches Rankings Thursday, Jan. 21, with Wartburg tied for second of 16 teams with 39 points. 

Additionally, six Knights were ranked individually among the top 10 in their respective weight classes, which leads the nation.

174 - Kyle Briggs, 2nd
197 - Kobe Woods, 10th
HWT - Jordon Brandon, 2nd

Wartburg was ranked first in the second release of the 2020-21 Division III FloWrestling team rankings, totaling 61 points to sit atop the top-25 poll, released Jan. 29, 2021.

The Knights lead the nation in the first d3wrestle.com rankings, announced Feb. 2. Eight Knights were ranked; Kyner, Rumph, Fritz, Mulder, Briggs, Jordan Bushey, Woods, and Brandon.
