WAVERLY, Iowa - The top-ranked Wartburg College wrestling team wrapped up its 2020-21 regular season schedule Friday evening at Levick Arena, defeating the No. 7/12-ranked North Central College Cardinals 24-13.
Wartburg's win improves the team's record to 9-1 overall on the year during its final preparation for the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III National Championships, set to take place March 12-13 in Coraleville, Iowa, at Xtream Arena.
The Knights won six of 10 individual matches, including a major decision from
Brady Fritz, a fall from
Zane Mulder, and a technical fall win for
Kyle Briggs.
Mulder and Briggs both finished the regular season undefeated.
