Lucas Huffman extended his winning streak to four games when he defeated his No. 1 singles opponent in straight sets and came away with a victory in his doubles match.Â
Next up, the Knights (3-8, 0-1 A-R-C) will return to Waverly on Saturday, March 20 for two contests against Monmouth College (0-0) and University of Northwestern (7-0, 0-0 UMAC) with the start time still to be determined.
Huffman and
Jackson Eells secured a victory in the No. 1 doubles spot but the Orange & Black dropped the next two and faced a 1-2 deficit heading into the singles competition. The Marion, Iowa native Huffman stayed red hot and won his singles bout in straight sets and freshman
Cade Davis also won his fourth straight No. 3 singles contest when he took down his opponent in three sets. Huffman is now 8-3 on the year in singles with Davis close behind with a 7-3 record.Â
