DUBUQUE, Iowa - Wartburg men's tennis suffered a 6-3 road defeat against Loras College on Thursday, April 29 at the Tucker Tennis Courts in Dubuque, Iowa. 

The Knights (9-12, 3-4 A-R-C) will wrap up their regular season on Sunday, May 2 with a home match against Buena Vista University (2-6, 1-5 A-R-C) at 11 a.m. 

The Orange & Black took a 2-1 lead after doubles with wins at the No. 1 and two positions. The duo of Jackson Eells and Lucas Huffman recorded their team-high 15th victory while Cade Davis and Hunter Gerhardt picked up win number six. 

Things did not go as planned for Wartburg during singles play as it took just one of the six matches. Junior Huffman earned his team-best 16th win at the No. 1 position and is now just two victories away from breaking the school record of most career wins at the No. 1 singles spot.
