WAVERLY, Iowa— For the second time this week, the No. 13/17 Wartburg women's basketball team started hot and stayed hot, recording a season-high 15 made three-pointers on the way to a 79-64 victory over Iowa Wesleyan University in a non-conference game.
Hannah Anderson recorded a career-night, scoring 20 points. Anderson led the Knights behind the arc, shooting a career-high six three-pointers.
With a hot offense, the Knights shot a season-best 52 percent from the field to defeat the Tigers of Iowa Wesleyan.
Anderson hit the first three-pointer of the game, 13 seconds in as the Knights opened the game on a 15-0 run.

Sara Faber all made shots from behind the arc in the first quarter, as the Knights took a 13-point lead to start the second quarter. The Tigers came within 10 on an old-fashioned three-point play as
Jaedon Murphy answered with a three-pointer to extend the lead to 13.
After taking a 17-point lead at the break, the Knights kept the offensive pressure up on the Tigers to start the second half. Young and Anderson made three consecutive shots from behind the arc in the third quarter, extending the lead to 26. The Tigers made a late run in the third quarter, holding the Knights to eight points in the final five minutes of the quarter.
Leading by 15, Anderson mirrored the opening of the first quarter by making a shot from behind the arc. On an assist from Murphy, Anderson scored the next points for the Orange & Black and a 20-point lead. The Tigers would fight back, coming with 11 late in the fourth quarter. Four of the Knights final six points came from the free throw line as the Knights defended Levick Arena for their fourth straight win.
Checking out the Numbers
Murphy led all scoring for the Orange & Black, recording 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Murphy went 2-of-2 from behind the arc and 4-of-6 from the free throw line, one of only four Knights to make a trip to the line.
In her career night, Anderson went 6-of-12 from behind the arc. Anderson collected three rebounds and two assists to her night.
Faber was the final player for the Orange & Black to land in double-digits, going 6-of-7 from the field (2-of-3 from three-point land).
Macy Harris led the Knights in rebounding efforts (5) and assists (5).
As a team, the Knights went 28-of-54 from the field (52 percent) and made 15-of-30 three-pointers (50 percent). The Knights would go 8-of-12 from the free throw line, while the bench added 22 points. The Knights forced 20 turnovers by the Tigers and collected 28 points off turnovers.
The Knights recorded 33 rebounds, 22 assists, and nine steals in the contest.

In the D3hoops.com rankings, the Knights rose to No. 13 following impressive outings by the Knights.
The Knights rose three spots in the Women's Basketball Coaches Associations (WBCA) poll, landing at No. 17.
