DUBUQUE, Iowa—In a trio of American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) duals, the No. 1 Wartburg Knights wrestling squad swept Central, Buena Vista, and the University of Dubuque in action.
Joe Pins, who ranks No. 3 according to NWCA, posted three consecutive technical falls.
Brady Kyner collected two technical falls and a decision at 125.
In the dual against Central,
Zayren Terukina,
Kris Rumph, and
David Hollingsworth won their bouts by major decisions.
Kyle Briggs joined Pins and Kyner with a technical fall win. The Knights dropped only one bout against Central at 197, an 8-3 decision by Central's Gage Linahon. The Knights posted a 39-3 win over Central.
Against Buena Vista, the Knights posted consecutive technical falls as the Knights took every bout for a 53-0 win.
The Knights swept the University of Dubuque in the final dual of the afternoon, 43-0.
The Knights travel to Minneapolis on January 27 for the annual Battle of the Burgs. The Knights and Auggies of Augsburg will face off on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
