Wartburg, Fisher Win Dan Huston Invite

WAVERLY, Iowa--  The No. 2 Wartburg women's cross country won its annual Dan Huston Invite Saturday with 21 points. The field featured one other ranked team in No. 6 WashU.

This meet is named in honor of Dan Huston, a 1985 Wartburg alum, who was tragically killed in a carjacking incident on Sept. 9, 1994 in Washington D.C. Huston was a member of the cross country and track and field teams and was a 1985 All-American in the steeplechase, as he placed third. He graduated summa cum laude from Wartburg. Huston was an attorney with Reid & Priest at the time of his death. He was the youngest of seven children born and raised in Waverly, Iowa.
