INDIANOLA, Iowa— Three Wartburg Knights women's basketball players landed in double-digit scoring as the No. 18 Knights fell in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Tournament Championship, 62-59 to the No. 5 Simpson College Storm.
The Knights will find out if they receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament on February 28. The selection show is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. (CT) on NCAA.com.
Game Summary
Hannah Anderson and
Macy Harris opened with back-to-back three-pointers for the Knights in the opening three minutes of the game.
Jaedon Murphy hit back-to-back shots as the Knights took an 11-6 lead at the 5:02 mark. The Knights and Storm traded possessions before
Sara Faber hit the final three-pointer of the first quarter for a 16-15 lead.
Murphy turned on offensive rebound into a layup to open the second quarter before the Storm bounced back to take a 19-18 lead. A pair of three-pointers from Anderson saw the Knights go up by five. The Knights finished the first half on a 7-3 run, taking a 31-28 lead at the break.
A three-pointer by
Brea Dillavou saw the Knights take a 36-30 lead. The Knights hit three consecutive three-pointers down the stretch as the Knights and Storm battled it out in the championship game. The Storm tied the game at 48 to start the fourth quarter. The Storm took a six-point lead at 57-51 before Faber and
Maggie Wilkins scored four points within a minute. Faber hit the final basket of the night for the Orange & Black as the Knights fell 62-59.

Dillavou led the Knights with 15 points on 5-of-7 FG shooting and five rebounds. Murphy and Anderson added 12 points respectively for the Orange & Black.
The Knights shot 44 percent from the field, after shooting 67 percent in the first quarter. The Knights made 13-of-30 three-pointers (43 percent) and went 80 percent from the free throw line (4-of-5). The Knights collected 27 rebounds, 15 assists, and seven steals.
The Knights bench added 27 points while collecting nine points off turnovers.
The Knights move to 21-5 on the year and 13-3 in the A-R-C play.
