Wrestling Claims 15th National Championship

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa—Claiming their fifteenth national title, the Wartburg College wrestling squad won the 2022 Division Three National Wrestling Championship with 79 points.
 
The Knights edged Wabash College by one point (78 points). North Central and Augsburg University tied for third place at the championship.
 
Zayren Terukina is the National Runner-up at 141lbs.
 
The 79 points scored by Wartburg is the second lowest winning score since 1994, while Ithaca won the title with 77.75 points. That was also the final time neither Wartburg or Augsburg wrestled.
 
All seven Knights received All-American honors after placing inside to top-8 in their weight class.
